Model booking guide
A clear brief helps talent, agencies and clients decide quickly whether a project is a good fit.
1. Write a useful brief
Describe the concept, brand, audience, deliverables and creative direction. Include reference images only when you have permission to use them.
2. Define usage and rights
State where images or video will appear, the territory, duration, paid-media use and whether exclusivity is requested. Put agreed terms in writing.
3. Confirm the practical details
Share dates, location, call time, expected hours, wardrobe needs, travel arrangements and accessibility considerations.
4. Discuss rates and payment
Agree the modelling fee, usage fee, overtime, cancellation terms, expenses, invoicing and payment date before the booking is confirmed.
5. Check representation and safety
Verify agency details independently, use clear written communications, and make sure the set-up is professional and appropriate. For anyone under 18, involve a parent or guardian and follow applicable child-performer laws and safeguarding requirements.
6. Confirm everything in writing
Send a final call sheet and written confirmation with contact details, deliverables, usage, rates and any special requirements.
